Result
Winsol was looking for a partner who could translate a complex set of tools and internal procedures into a concrete plan of action.
Thanks to previous experience and market knowledge, DX-Solutions can easily handle complex price calculations and sector-specific stock calculations.
Internal complexity in tools and processes
We faced several challenges in this project. For example, the client used a large number of internal tools, each with its own function and logic. This created a fragmented landscape where efficiency was hard to come by.
In addition, the e-commerce platform had to account for complex price calculations and equally complex inventory management. Prices depended on various parameters such as quantity, customer type, promotions, and product combinations. Inventory, too, wasn't managed centrally, but across multiple systems and locations.
Finally, a strong connection to the production environment was necessary. Orders placed through the platform had to be automatically translated into production orders, with the correct timing and material requirements.
From analysis to optimization
To address these challenges, we supported Winsol's in-house IT team with our expertise and experience (Team As A Service). We didn't acquire them, but rather strengthened them: this allowed them to continue focusing on their core business while we transformed the company into an integrated e-commerce solution.
We mapped the entire IT landscape, paying particular attention to the existing quotation tool and its integration with production and machine data. This gave us a clear understanding of where the bottlenecks were and where we could add value.
Based on this, we mapped out the entire workflow – from initial customer inquiry to actual production – and critically analyzed it. The result? A significantly simplified and improved workflow that today delivers greater speed, fewer errors, and a smoother customer experience.
