About Beltherm
Beltherm produces pipes and ducts for extraction. Production takes place on machines in its own production area.
An MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is software for the shop floor: it shows which orders are ready and keeps track of how far production has progressed.
Insight into partially completed orders
Large orders are not always completed in one go. Part may already be produced while the rest follows later.
To invoice that completed part, the back office needs to know how far each order is. That information had to travel from the machines to the office.
Progress at the machine becomes information for the back office.

DX-Solutions built a custom MES and connected it to planning. The system's back office is available on all machines.
At the machine, employees view their orders and enter the production status and the quantities produced. The back office sees how far an order has progressed.
